Lexi LaFleur Brown comes from a long line of female hockey fans, so it was no surprise when she decided to hit the ice herself. Having grown up in the crease, playing both girls' and boys' representative hockey, she has seen it all. From the bottom of a dog pile after a big win to the long, quiet bus ride home after a loss, and is better having faced both. 

 

Hockey lit the foundation for Lexi’s can-do determination, which transferred nicely to her passion for education. She has a BA in Media Studies, an MS in Public Relations, and a PhD in Education. 

 

When Lexi’s not writing romance, she’s chronically online. With over 120,000 followers across TikTok, X, and Instagram, she advocates for more inclusivity in hockey, cracks jokes, and shares a glimpse into her own post-meet cute hockey life. 

 

Hockey might have been Lexi’s first love, but a right winger for the Syracuse Crunch was her true love. Like all fairytales, Lexi and her husband, JT Brown, met on social media. For years, she followed his career through the NHL and beyond. Lexi and her family are settled in Seattle, Washington, where she continues to cheer on JT, only this time he’s up in the Seattle Kraken broadcast booth.
